Prior to my previous employment I worked almost exclusively on high end residential work, most of which has been in London and Canada. New house designed for a acreage in PEI, Canada for an older couple. They wanted to allow their spare bedrooms to be able to be used as Bed and Breakfast accommodation so the layout was split to have accomodation at seperate ends with all communal spaces in the middle. The basement for this property also allowed for a cold store for fruit and vegetable storage.
All the drawings for this project were drawn by hand. Below, an compact glass and rendered extension to a Georgian terrace in Kentish Town, London. This project was completed while I worked for Robert Dye Associates in London. I carried the project from Building Regulations almost until completion and did all project management, tender and administration as well as detail design and material and colour selection for the project. Due to the good rapport and relationship with both contractor and client on this work the client then proceeded to have me design the landscaping for the backyard.
Private commission of works for a detached 1970's house in Maldon, Essex. I was involved in redesigning the balustrade for the central staircase and then redesigned and specified all materials for the new ensuite. Have also worked in consultation on kitchen layout, materials and colour selection for the house as well as consulted for some exterior works.
